A: I had a chevy S10 before and if I remember right it is at
2500 pound. That is tow capacity not hauling.
You cant haul more than approx. 800 pound without the
bumper draging the ground.

I am looking at a 2003 Chevy S10 Pickup with 100,000 miles on it. It is a one owner car and is very clean inside and out. The engine compartment is clean, although not abnormally so. The truck drives well and the AC and other options all work.
The asking price is $4995.00 at a used car lot. It is being sold As Is without any warranty.
A: That might be a little high for the mileage, but it's a great truck. I have a '95 with 140,000 miles and I freakin' LOVE it! Also, for that kind of money, it should have a V6 and automatic.

A: FLOWMASTER!!!! Best exhaust system for american trucks. Also, don't go too big on the piping, doing so will cause a loss in torque. Unless you're thinkin' of an engine swap, 350 motor fits perfectly in there. I'd stick with 2 inch piping. Duals are also perfect. You can find these at local muffler shops or online. You can go to S10 forums and also order a bolt on at Stylin Trucks .com.
Q: How do I get behind the glove box of a Chevy s10?
I put my ipod in the glove box of my chevy s10 and I'm pretty sure when I closed it, it fell behind the box or under the box, I don't know much about cars so I'm not really sure what is in there or where the ipod would have fallen. Does anyone know how I can get my ipod out?
A: It's been awhile since I've driven one, but I'm pretty sure that the little plastic hinges on either side of the G.C. will bend just enough to let you pop it out. Careful the plastic is brittle and will break if too much force is applied.

A: No problem at all. They both take the exact same pads & rotors.

i have a 1983 chevy S10 pickup. the back brake caliber was sticking. i replaced the brake caliber and is continues to stick. i do not see any leaks in the brake line and brake fluid is getting to the caliber.
A: Its caliper.
Replace the rubber line. It has swelled on the inside allowing fluid to travel only one way.

I have a chevy S10. It is not getting fuel to keep it running. I have changes the pump, and lots of other things. It keeps blowing a fuse, i dont know if it is grounded correctly, or if it is the relay switch. Can somone please help me?

A: sounds like your in over your exp level but ill try, the pump will ground through the tank, holding straps frame ect, if the fuse keeps blowing check for a power wire that is shorting out (touching bare metal ) check your connections and look for loose or dirty connection. the year would have helped alot. unplug your pump relay and see if this stops the fuse from blowing with the key off than on if so the relay is bad. ounce you get the pump to power up check the pressure if its low check for blockage fuel filter ect, whith power and the right pressure you should be ok good luck

How do you get a carrier bearing off a 1998 Chevy S10 truck?
A: According to my repair manual, you must remove the entire drive line, (both front and rear drive-shafts) after first marking the yokes in front and rear for proper realignment at re-installation. Once removed, you must separate front and rear drive-shafts, again after marking for proper realignment at re-installation. The old carrier bearing must be pressed off and the new one will need to be pressed back on, again making sure that the original orientation between front and rear drive-shafts is preserved. Then reinstall drive shaft as removed. The two drive-shafts are balanced as a unit, so the orientation of them must be maintained, to keep them in balance. I've not done this project before, so I don't have any practical advice to add. Hope it helps you.
Q: Rear speaker wires in an extended cab chevy s10 with the 3rd door?
I've got a 2000 Chevy S10 extended cab with the 3rd door and was wondering if the radio wire harness has a provision for rear speaker wires. I want to put rear speakers in my truck so it sounds better. I've seen where people put speaker boxes in S10s with the 3rd door and don't know how they do that with the wires. I want to do it the right way so it sounds the best.
A: In your particular vehicle, the dash speakers are on the front outputs and the "rear" speakers are in the front doors. There aren't any extra outputs for the rear of the cabin. If you want to add more speakers, you'll have to give up your dash or door speakers, or use a separate amplifier.
Q: I am replacing the heater core in my Chevy S10 Blazer and can't figure out how to get the old one out. Help!

A: I hope you're not far into this. REINSTALL everything back
Not for the novice. The instrument panel carrier must come out.freon drained, the heater/ac distribution case has to come out,and disassembled to remove heater core.
take it to a qualified shop/dealer let them do it. Trust me it's a lot of work.
If you still want to attempt, pls reply and I'll post all 30 steps.

A: man don't bother with the 305 seriously. they are junk engines. you need all the exact same stuff to run a 350 and itll be that much nicer. i have a 93 s10 blazer with a 85 z28 tpi 350. wicked quick.

The rear drivers side running lights on my 2003 chevy s10 will not come on. The bulb is good but replaced it just to be safe and it still did not work. Break lights, turn signal, and reverse lights all work. I checked the fuse box and the fuses are ok to. What else can it be? The owners manual has nothing for this.
A: use a test lite to check for power at socket first, then check for power at plug where lite assembly plugs in. if no power, replace lite unit.

I bought a 1993 chevy s10 and my speedometer is unplugged coming from the transmission and i am wondering where in the dash do i need to plug it in at. Thanks
A: This cable plugs into the back of the speedometer head.Once to find the cable it plugs onto the head and is held on by a clip on the back of the head.Best of luck.
