Q: 2006 Ford F150 Cool air intake?
I want to know if anyone has a cool air intake in their Ford F150 and if its worth putting a cool air intake in my truck. And I would like to know if any of you know a good website to get the best deal on a cool air intake. I have a 2006 Ford F-150 XL 2x4, V6 4.2L

A: The original equipment is a cold air intake

Q: How to remove the CD player from 2006 Ford F150?

A: leave that one to professional!

Q: how to install brake pads on a 2006 ford f150 truck?

A: Take the wheel off, caliper off, caliper bracket, have rotors resurfaced, re install rotor, re install bracket, install pads, grease sliders, compress pistons in calipers, install calipers, bleed system, and test drive.

Q: Brake Problems 2006 Ford F150 4X4?
I have an intermittent problem with the brakes on my 2006 Ford F150 4x4 Super Crew 5.4L. The symptom is that when I step on the brakes it feels like the anti-lock is engaging, I can feel the automatic fast “pumping” of the brakes with every stop, no matter how lightly I apply the brakes. I also can hear a humming sound from under the dash when the breaks are applied. Then the next time, when I turn off and restart my truck, the symptom goes away. I’ve taken it to the Ford dealership and they can find nothing wrong.

A: False activation, 1 wheel shows a different speed than the other 3. Most likely wheel speed sensor, air gap between sensor and pulse ring or cracked pulse ring. If those all check OK could be wiring or module. The dealer needs to monitor wheel speeds and drive until it does it. If we had looked at your car and were unable to duplicate the concern we would tell you to stop by when the concern was present and without turning the key off connect up our equipment and go drive it to verify what wheel was causing the concern. Then schedule an appointment and check out the components and wiring of that wheel. You might call your dealer and suggest this to them.

Q: How to verify mileage on a 2006 ford f150 digital odometer?
Can anyone tell me how I can verify the digital mileage reading on a 2006 ford f150. I want to buy this used truck but is there anyway to check to see if the owner pulled the fuse to stop the mileage or some way to verify the mileage without putting the vehicle on a diagnostics computer to do a read out (will that even verify the true mileage if the fuse was pulled) can anyone help? People keep telling me to hit the odometer reset button twice but nothing changes it just bounces back and forth between the tactometer and the odometer. Is that what everyone keeps talking about, if the odometer is wrong it will change when I switch between these two?

A: What fuse? The digital readout comes from the ECU. The ECU power cannot be interrupted without the car dying. If you get a computer dump from the dealer it will verify everything that has happened to the truck since new. If you don't want to do that push the mileage reset button twice to see how far the truck has traveled since 0 miles.

Q: Is It Possible To Plow with a 2006 Ford F150 FX4?
OK, so I have a 2006 Ford F150 FX4, with a 5.4L V8 Triton SuperCrew. I've read that you'll void the warranty unless you have a certain plowing package with the truck, but, I'm not sure whether this is true or if it only applies to certain plows. Right now, I'm looking at putting a 7.5' or 8' Fisher Plow on the truck. Would this void the warranty and/or be bad for the truck? Thanks. It's a SuperCrew with 4 doors, has a 5.5' bed, and 3.73 drivetrain. Would that carry the plow well?

A: you can, but buy The Boss... much better than fisher. plow prep package will appear on the window sticker... for an 06 f150 its called "63A" but with an f-150 some can carry a plow well, some even carry large plows. but some others can't carry any plow at all. depends on cab/bed/drivetrain for how much u can carry.

Q: 2006 Ford F150-STX Regular Cab Trade In Value?
Im going to trade in my 2006 Ford F-150 and I want to know around what price would I be looking at for a trade in value. It is Grey Has 9500 miles It is the STX Version It is a regular Cab It has factory warranty Its in great condiion Im looking to trade this in to a dealer because I still owe on it. Around what average will a dealer give me ?

A: I go to www.KKB.com but they ask you for a bunch of stuff about options on your truck if I was you I wouldconsider how much you owe on the truck, if you have it financed (most do so I assume you do) if you are not upside down. For example you owe 11K on your loan and you truck is worth 14K that means you have 3000 bills as your down payment. being that your car is an 06 you might still be upside down. if you are upside down the dealer can take what you owe and put that on top of your new loan (terrible for you and good for them since they will make the sale and don't care that you have to deal with paying back that money) so your new car costs 20k and you still owe 3k your going to get a loan for 23k. I could go on and on about this but if you can work out a good deal, maybe get an 07 that they are trying to clear out and be firm about your trade in, if your credit is good then you hold all the cards and they should accomodate you so estimate your KBB value and ask for 3k more since when the dealer is going to sell your truck it will be for 5k more than they paid for it and if you owe more than it is worth don't do it and wait for your loan balance to go down.

Q: if you change tire size on a 2006 ford f150 will it affect the speedometer?

A: Yes, the GEM module will have different tire sizes pre programed in the module. Go to dealer, have them scan the modules programable parameters and pick a size that's in the modules parameters. When and if you change tire size you can have the module reprogramed to the correct tire size and the speedo will be correct.
