Q: Landscaping with my Ford F150??
I would like to use my Ford F150 to remove some evergreen bushes in my front yard. Do I hook up the chains and back straight up away from the bushes or do I turn the wheel while backing away?

A: It totally depends on the type of bush and the depth of the roots!!!!!! Step away from the pickup truck and re-think this. I've seen at LEAST 10 people try that with a pickup truck and either burn their tranny out, or rip something out from underneath. You would have MUCH better luck with a super duty f-350.

Q: where can i find a quality used pickup bed for my 1997 ford f150?

A: watch local ad papers :)

Q: Can I return a a used truck to the dealer that I just bought 10 days ago?
I purchased a used 2000 Ford f150 from a used dealer about 10 days ago. I just find out that it has a bad transmission. I put zero down anad have not made any paymeents on it yet. The first payment is due July 15th. There was no warranty on the truck. Can I return this truck? Am I protected by any laws?

A: In short, no you can't just bring it back. If you bought it from a dealer then you signed some paperwork stating that there was no warranty and you signed this paperwork acknowledging that you realize that the vehicle is being sold "as-is." The Lemon Law will not protect you in a situation like this. The used-car Lemon Law varies from state to state but the dealership is required to fix the car free of charge, you can't just return it.

Q: Will a 1995 ford f150 straight 6 engine will fit in a 77 ford f100 l6 using the manifold ,ignition comp, etc?
Both are straight six's engines.

A: The block will fit but you are going to have a problem with the fuel pump, the EFI version engine has the fuel pump area blocked off. You will need to run an electric fuel pump.

Q: How do I use only 1 Key pad code on my Ford f150?
I have been using my factory set key pad code and recently changed it to a personal code, however the factory set code works as well. How do i disable the factory set code and only use my personal code? A person I knew before knows my factory code and has been stealing things from my vehicle and I would like to prevent this!

A: The factory module has the code in it. Its called a GEM module, (general electric module). The dealer cannot change the factory code. You have to purchase a new GEM module with a new code.

Q: Can anyone give me tips for buying a 1999 Ford F150 Extended Cab 4x4, Tips and what to watch out for?
I am planing to buy an 1999 Ford F150 Ext Cab with 4x4, XLT or Larient Trim. I have $8-$12K to spend, i'd prefer to buy it at around 8K. The truck will have around 100-140K miles. I am looking for a reliable truck that will be able to do everything. Is this truck a good choice for the millage that it has? Also, can you guys give me some tips to check out when I go for a test drive/check out the truck. I have consumer reports and have been looking at various Ford websites for tips, but I would like to see what you guys have to say from your experiences. Is it worth it to get the 5.4L V8 over the smaller, one because of similar gas millage? I don't plan to haul trailers. I plan to use the truck as an everyday driver and also road trips across a couple of states. What are some common problems these trucks experience at the stated millage? What are some red flags to look out for? Thanks. Im in PHX, Arizona if that helps.

A: Good truck. The 5.4 is a good work horse and like you mentioned, not pulling a trailer that motor will not disappoint you. If I knew where your approximate location was I could give you some pricing info, but I bet you have done that yourself. I really think properly maintained that Truck can last many, many seasons and be a joy to drive.

Q: need information on a Ford F150?

Q: 98 Ford F150 - Will bench seat use the same mounting holes as bucket seats?
And will seats from other Ford vehicles interchange without new holes or brackets? Expedition, Explorer, etc.

A: i doubt the seats from other ford vehicles will fit. but you should be able to swap out the seats for the same vehicle. just look under the seat for one style then look under for the other style and see if the mounting bolts are similar looking. good luck.

Q: bypass pipe for ford f150?
i am looking to cut off my exhaust SYSTEM on my 1990 ford f150 i use for plowing and bypass the cat and muffler does anyone know of a good web site where i can researchch and buy parts online.

A: I dont see any benefits with bypassing those parts. but if you want to just go get a pipe that fits from a muffler supplier and hook it up. They will be able to sell you a flex pipe. just stik it on.
