Q: can my 1994 ford ranger run on homemade ethanol?
Can anyone please help me with this issue. Because I would like to make my own fuel. Gas is going up to $5 bucks a gallon and even higher then that. "I am not going to keep giving my money to Iran by buying their gas." I want to start using Ethanol as fuel. Do I need some kind of kit or can I just use it.
A: Yes, but you would have to modify a few things in your truck first. it can be really cheap to do.
Q: How do I go about removing a fuel rail from a 1994 ford ranger 4 cyl.?
My fuel rail is leaking and i need to remove the one under the hood in order to put a new one in. but i am having trouble removing the fuel lines.
A: Fuel pressure could be preventing the fuel lines from being removed as well. Make sure you de-pressurize your fuel system before you do any fuel related work.
Q: What is the bolT pattern for a 1994 ford ranger?
truck didn't come with manual. Thanks.
A: 5x4.5 and 5x114.3 are the same pattern. it is what ford and dodge rwd cars have used for decades. if you are looking for rims stay away from rims for mustangs 94 and newer. The wheel bearing on the ranger and older cars stick out about 1.5 inches more than the newer mustangs and the center caps will not fit, but the rims will fit.
Q: Why is my 1994 Ford Ranger with 105.000 miles a gas hog. It is in good condition according to my garage. . .?
mechanic and he can't see why the gas mileage is so bad, 16 miles to a gal on the open road, 12 miles in town. It never has any weight in the box. Any ideas?
A: The Ranger is a thisty beast. see http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/findacar.htm for the mileage on it when it was new. Not too different from what you're getting.
Q: Im buying a 1994 Ford ranger single cab short bed will the bed big enough to haul two dirtbikes?
Will the bed big enough to haul two dirtbikes a crf250 and klx125
A: The bed is 6.5 feet long from cab to tailgate. Measure your bikes and see. You may have to leave the tailgate down to accomodate them.
Q: On a 1994 Ford Ranger, Do you have to take the bed off to fix fuel gage?
Also, Was charged $150.00 forunt brakes and said they turned the routers but found out later routers was not turned, So my question is, Did I get ripped off? Live in Tennessee
A: Yes, it 's a very common practice to remove the bed to replace the fuel pumps and senders on the ford rangers. they are so small and easy to remove. Damn a full tank of gas and working over your head. Also 150.00 for brake pads is not to bad if they used OEM parts .They should have turned the rotors . I would raise some hell over that .
Q: where can i get leaf spring brackets for my 1994 ford ranger splash?
i have tried everywhere and thought i could them cheaper than directly from the dealer. ( they cost 150.00 there) i thought there might me a website that has them cheaper than that. i need them for both right and left rear springs. i don't really want them to make the truck higher or lower i just want Replacement one. any web sites would be deeply enjoyed

Q: What's a good price for a tune-up of a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup?
I just got a quote for $425 (I live in Seattle) to tune up my old Ranger XLT...am I getting hosed? Also, should I replace the timing belts. Guy says they're cracking, but i always hear that from mechanices...
A: Your 2.3 Liter engine has a timing belt instead of a timing chain. Some engines can be damaged if the timing belt breaks ("interference engines"), but fortunately, your engine may be a non-interference type engine. My advice is to have new spark plugs installed if they have 60,000 miles on them or so. That assumes that they're platinum tipped, long life spark plugs. If you've never had your spark plug wires changed, have them changed also. I would have those service items performed at a Ford dealer to make sure you get the proper Ford Motorcraft sparkplugs and wires for your truck. The total cost should be less than $150. Get a new air filter if it has more than 20,000 miles on it. Also, have your transmission fluid and filter changed if you haven't done so in over 60,000 miles. Also, have your engine coolant replaced if it's more than 2 years old.
Q: How can i tell if 2004 jeep wrangler wheels (15in) will fit on a 1994 ford ranger with 14 in wheels?
A: the Jeep is 5x114.3 bolt pattern. The Ranger is the same. After that you have to check offset, but you should be okay as long as you size the tires correctly.

A: possible you don't know how to "properly drive a stick it is very easy to wear out a clutch if you abuse it or ride it. but most likely it is a leaking slave cylinder, check clutch master cylinder also
Q: 1994 ford ranger four wheel drive?
ok, i have a 1994 ford ranger stepside four wheel drive. My problem is that when i bought it the electronic four wheel drive does not work. I looked under the truck at the transfer case and there was a socket on it. I turned it and it made a click. It went into four wheel drive. The problem is, is that when i run it in four wheel drive it does not want to go back into two wheel drive. It will spring back into four wheel drive until it cools down or something. What could be the problem?
A: the servo that moves the lever into and out of 4wheel on your transfer case has failed
Q: Where can I find bucket seats for 1994 Ford Ranger XL at a DECENT PRICE?
A: Have you tried a local slavage/junk yard ? I have purchased seats for 3 different vehicles at one nearby me. The latest was a bucket seat for a Ford Escort for $50.. and it was in great shape. All I had to do was bring some tools and remove it from the salvage vehicle ! You can save tons of money buying used/salvage parts that are sometimes as good as new !
Q: How to change a fuel pump on a 1994 Ford Ranger?
A: If you have a few friends then do it as we do when working flat rate...remove the bed. There are only 6 bolts, the taillight connector and the filler tube. (some models will have one ground strap on the left hand frame) Then it is easy to reach especially if you don't have a lift. It will keep you from climbing under the truck and wearing that gas. It also keeps you from having to drain the tank.
