Q: Does anyone know where i can find a sub box that can hold 2 ten inch subwoofers for a 2004 toyota tacoma?
The toyota tacoma is a 2004 double cab toyota tacoma. Would like the subs to go behind the back seats but i need to find a box.

A: www.bestbuy.com is one. im Pretty sure they will have one made just for your truck. just a warning...i personally will never buy from www.bestbuy.com. had a bad experience and will only buy thing from there store stock. there are plenty of other store online that have good review (ex. crutch field). and a local audio shop can help you out to.

Q: How can I make my 02' toyota tacoma go faster?
How can I make my tacoma go faster and possibly get better gas milage? Is this even possible?

A: the front face of the air box , cut it out so the air isn`t so restricted. I did it on my 2000 and the throttle response was alot better.

Q: Why doesn't my purchased compass not work in my Toyota Tacoma?
I purchased a cheapy compass for my Tacoma. It always points north, so I figured I bought a crappy compass. HOWEVER it turns out when it's on my windshield, it points north, but when it's close to my console or further or anywhere else, it works correctly. Does anyone know if there is a magnetic substance in the windshield that would cause it to do that?

A: yes. there may be a good reason it does this, try changing locations

Q: As a first vehicle, Honda Ridgeline or Toyota Tacoma?
Which would you rather have as a first vehicle (used)- a Honda Ridgeline or a Toyota Tacoma? Try to justify your reasoning as well. I want to be able to do minor offroading if I want, but nothing major at all. I also want a bed, but I don't need an incredibly long one. Thanks.

A: A first car is always a tough decision. At least you have it narrowed down to two vehicles. Both have their merits, but it all comes down to what you value most in a vehicle. Both the Honda and Toyota were top scorers in reliability, so either one will serve you well there, and they both come with V-6 engines and in crew cab configuration. If you want to do some minor off-roading, I would say go for the Toyota. The V-6 is a little stronger for off-road driving, it has much better ground clearance, and it offers a true 4-Wheel Drive system with Hi and Lo range modes. If you want gas mileage, the Toyota is also the better choice, as it gets 1 mile per gallon better city mileage and the same highway mileage as the less-powerful Honda. Toyota also offers a manual transmission, which will increase mileage, and a 4-Cylinder engine, which increases it even more. Toyota also offers regular cab and extended cab models, which weigh less, which equals better performance and better gas mileage, assuming you don't need to carry more than three people. If you plan on hauling anything beyond people, the Toyota is also the better choice. It has a body-on-frame design, which allows for the hauling of more cargo and much heavier trailers than the Honda, and it also offers a longer bed. The Toyota can also be bought for much less than the Honda, unless you want a crew cab with the 4-Wheel Drive and a V-6 with an automatic, in which case it's only slightly less. On the other hand, the Honda offers a more carlike drive thanks to the unibody design and a smooth engine with an automatic-only transmission. The back seat is also more comfortable than the Toyota's, and the ride is nicer too. The Honda's not good for off-roading, not good for hauling anything beyond light payloads, and not good for gas mileage (it's only rated at 15 city and 20 highway - I had a 1990 Ford F-150 4X4 with a 6-Cylinder that averaged 19.5 miles per gallon). There you have it. Unless you value comfort above all else, the Toyota is the way to go. However, I would also suggest looking at the new Ford Ranger which is coming out soon. The old model was rated as the highest-mileage compact pickup, and is one of the cheapest you can by (next to the Chevrolet Colorado). Thanks to the good gas mileage, smooth drive, good off-road performance (particularly with the FX4 Stage II and Stage III packages), and cheap price, it was ranked higher than the Toyota for years, until Toyota's redesign recently. I expect the new model to leapfrog the Toyota once again. If you don't mind waiting awhile, I'd say wait for the Ford. If you need a truck now, the Toyota's the best bet. I hope this has answered your question. If you have any more, please feel free to ask.

Q: Help trying to buy a new 09 toyota tacoma?
Ok so I am planning on getting a new or used tacoma. I know the economy is doing really bad and I think it is the best time to buy a car because I have some money but will the truck prices go even more down? They are asking 28k for a 09 tacoma but i still think that is to much so do you think if I waited a little bit longer they would be more desperate and lower the prices eventually?

A: It is a known fact that the prices will go down...the question of when is hard to answer unless you are willing to wait until the last quarter of the year. Dealerships and Car manufacturers tend to lower the prices on the current model cars because they are trying to make room for the coming years cars and trucks. So with our crashing economy (which you should probably try to get "prequalified" anyway - the banks aren't loaning much money out right now and it is worse than it has ever been) I would suggest looking around some more....But like I said get prequalified if you can...Because I have people coming in to my lot looking for used cars because with a 750 credit score, they can't get financed.

Q: 04 Toyota Tacoma Why does the ignition make a ticking noise when being started?
So my truck hasn't been drivin in a couple of months; I had to jump it off; let it run for a couple of minutes, drove it home. Then I turned it off & tried to turn it back on & it made a ticking noise. So it wouldn't turn on. The lights and everything come on but the battery light & check engine light comes on also. So what can I do? Do I need to charge it longer, or do I need a new Battery? When I start it the truck makes a ticking noise and thats it. No Juice.

A: When you parked for 2 to 3 moths was the battery good? How old is the battery? (More then 3 1/2 to 4 years Replace it). The alternator is not made to fully charge a dead battery, you need to remove it and put it on a charger for 6 to 10 hours. NOTE; when you have to jump start a car you need to keep Radio, a/c, lights (off if day time) off while you drive so everything the alternator puts out go to the battery. With a good or new battery in the car the battery should12V to12.5V with the engine off, 13.6V to 14.4V with the engine running and that will show you if the alternator is working properly. Lights or no lights, the clicking is a weak or dead battery.

Q: Question for girls? What do you think of the Toyota Tacoma?
Girls what doy ou think of the Toyota Tacoma 05 or newer models or even the older ones?

A: That's a cool truck, it's fun to see guys in trucks, very male-like, the new tacomas are even bigger. I like how they drive them through the mud and drive around town all proud! It's cute, kind of like they went from playing with Tonka trucks to having their own to drive. I think I would like a Tacoma too, what do guys think of girls driving the trucks they wish they had?

Q: Can a Toyota Tacoma CD Player play MP3 only discs?
I bought a Toyota Tacoma and I cannot get my burned CDs with MP3 files on them to play. Regular burned cds that were converted into CD format play just fine....is there a way to make the CD player play MP3 only discs? I do have the factory 6 disc in dash CD player as of now. If it will not work I'm getting a new one installed.

A: Sorry, no. Toyota factory radios can't decode MP3 formats. Burned CD-R's should play, but not CD-RW's. CDA format will play, but not MP3's. Sell your old radio and buy a new one. You can actually get pretty good money for OEM in-dash changers.

Q: I am looking for the pricing on new toyota tacoma trucks.?
Iam in the market for a new truck and would really like a toyota tacoma, and I need to know the cost .

A: go to kelly blue book, kbb.com or just google it. seriously. in the time it took you to type this question, you could've already found the answer 5 times over.

Q: How difficult is it to remove the pickup bed on a Toyota Tacoma?
what is required to perform this, and will the gas tank fill tube stand alone? 92 Excab 22RE I am removing the bed to customize it and I want to lighten the load to save gas. The truck aspect is no longer so important as the customizing possibilities and the handling for hill climbing races.

A: I 'm not sure about the gas tube you might have to make a simple brace. as far as the bed goes taking it off is pretty easy. just disconnect all the wiring, lights etc. and there are 6 or 8 bolts holding it on, remove the bolts and two men can just pick it up and move it.

Q: How do you install a power side view mirror on a Toyota Tacoma?
I need to replace the side view mirror on this truck. Does anyone know how? Thanks.

A: either the door panel needs to be removed or (most toyotas) directly behind where the mirror mounts on the outside is a triangle panel on th inside of the door that either pops off or has a screw holding it on once one or the other is done you will have acess to the 3 nuts holding it on as well as the electrical connection.

Q: What happens to the handling characteristics of a Toyota Tacoma if you remove the short bed on an ExCab?
I need to know if the vehicle will still be safe to drive if I am careful.

A: It will be fine , just a little lighter in the rear. Watch your starts and wet pavement as it will roast tires easily.

Q: What size tires and rims can I put on a stock 08' Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab Short Bed?
I'm not planning on lifting or lowering it. I don't really want that much wider tires right now than the stock ones I have (I don't know the size). But I do want larger rims and tires for sure. Please any advice on where to get them from for quality and price and what my options are. Thanks.

A: dont forget if your tires are larger in circumference then your original tires the spedo will show you are going slower then you really are and the cops might get you for that. get some bigger rims like you want but get a tire with the same circumference so you dont have spedo issues, unless you have it re calibrated then bigger tires will be fine. you might loose a few mpg with bigger tires too. good luck

Q: Will a dirt bike fit in a toyota tacoma short bed?
How well does a dirt bike fit in a tacoma double cab short bed? (im talking about the gen. 2's, 05-08's). Some people said that you have to angle it, but the wheel will rest on the tailgate. But ive also heard the tailgate is weak, so is that bad for it? As for the double cab long bed, how much better does it fit? Will I be able to shut the tailgate? Thanks for any help guys/girls!

A: I normally put my KX 250 in straight forward with the tailgate down. However i'm not sure if it will fit with the tailgate up, i haven't tried yet. As far as the plastic bed floor and tailgate they seem to be pretty strong i've hauled a complete V-8 engine with no problems. Hope this helps!

Q: What style boxes can you get to fit into an extended cab toyota tacoma? Looking for biggest subs with best fit?
